VEINTITANTOS

La noche más importante del cine tiene su cita este domingo 24 de febrero cuando Los Angeles sea el escenario de la 91ª entrega de los Oscar. La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Hollywood reconoce a los más destacados del mundo del cine en 24 categorías. 

Roma y The Favourite son las cintas que llegan con el mayor número de nominaciones (10) y aparecen como las principales candidatas a tener una importante cosecha de estatuillas doradas. Las otras películas que tienen varias postulaciones son Vice (8), A Star is Born (8) y Black Panther (7). La cinta del director mexicano Alfonso Cuarón llega, además, como la primera película latinoamericana en postular a la categoría de Mejor Película y como la producción latina que más nominaciones ha recibido en la historia de los premios de La Academia. Roma compite en las categorías de Mejor Película, Mejor Película Extranjera, Mejor Dirección, Mejor Actriz (Yalitza Aparicio), Mejor Actriz de Reparto (Marina de Tavira), Mejor Guión Original, Mejor Cinematografía, Mejor Dirección de Arte, Mejor Edición de Sonido y Mejor Mezcla de Sonido.

La batalla por ser la Mejor Película de la 91ª entrega de los Oscar tiene como protagonistas a Roma (ganadora Critics’ Choice Awards), Black Panther, BlackKklansman, Bohemian Rhapsody (ganadora del Globo de Oro), The Favourite, Green Book, A Star is Born y Vice. Otro de los segmentos atractivos, el de Mejor Director, tiene como postulantes a Alfonso Cuarón (Roma), Spike Lee (BlackKklansman), Pawel Pawlikowski (Col War), Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite) y Adam McKay (Vice).
