These pictures were taken 15 minutes apart.. Mind blown! #dontbelieveeverythingyouseeoninstagram #melvfitness

This has been an extremely slow process for me. When I first started trying to lose weight I had unrealistic expectations.. I never truly understood how HARD it was to lose weight, and on the flip side how easy it was to gain it. I mean I would bust my ass all day, then eat terrible for dinner, and have some late night snacks (but thought it was okay, BC I did so well through out the day)..I couldn't find a balance. And of course the scale wasn't moving...when the scale didn't move, more times than not I thought 'fuck it' this is not worth it. But I quickly reminded myself why I started. Why I wanted it so badly. Just know more weeks than not your progress will be slow, your progress may stop, the changes aren't always visible, BUT they are there. Don't give up. It's hard when you work so hard and feel like you aren't getting anything in return..you are! Before you know it you'll start feeling your clothes fitting differently, pants getting bigger, and you'll start feeling better. This is hard, and no one said it will be easy, just that its worth it..and it really is I made small changes that led to big results...and I'm not done yet

Okay so this weekend was a bit of a mess for me - food wise but I'm not going to rant yet. This is a transformation throughout 6 years. The first pic was taken approx in 2008 when I thought that was my skinniest / lowest weight .. The second was around 2011 probably my heaviest weight .. The third was yesterday which may be my lowest weight and even if it's not I still look way better than any other of the pictures. My shape is much leaner and slimmer. But in the same breathe I felt super bloated and large yesterday - maybe cause I did eat a bit and it just didn't digest enough but looking at these side by sides im feeling better! #fitfam #fit #fitness #fitnessgoals #health #healthy #healthier #loosingweight #weightloss #weightlossjourney #weightlossstory #notgivingup #happiness #thenewfitme105 #sidebyside #beforeandafter #transformation

One year into my weight loss journey, I couldn't imagine myself being where I am today.... down 112 lbs. I'm not yet where I want to be but I'm more than halfway there and that's an unbelievable feeling. I've come across several obstacles and could have easily given into that voice in my head that kept telling me "you can't do it". I've found the biggest challenge was myself. You must learn to silence your inner negative voice and rise above it. Prove yourself wrong. You CAN do it, you WILL do it, and no one (not even yourself) will keep you from achieving your own success story.
